Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable legislation.

2. QUOTATIONS
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
Quotes are based on the information, photographs and vehicle condition available to us at the time of quoting.
Additional Charges
Additional charges may apply where:
- The vehicle or item differs from the information originally supplied.
- Additional preparation or cleaning is required.
- Existing vinyl, PPF, decals, adhesive, tint or coatings require removal.
- Paint, clear coat, body repairs or other surface defects are discovered.
- Additional work is requested by the customer.
- The scope, design or materials change after the quotation has been accepted.
Where practical, significant additional work and costs will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.
3. BOOKINGS & 50% DEPOSIT
All bookings with Kameleon Kustoms require a 50% deposit of the total quoted price to secure the booking.
A booking is not confirmed or secured until the 50% deposit has been received.
The deposit allows Kameleon Kustoms to allocate workshop time and may also be used towards ordering materials, vinyl, PPF, tint, printing, design work and other products required specifically for the customer’s project.
Where materials have been specially ordered, custom printed, cut or prepared specifically for a customer’s project, amounts relating to those costs may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
The remaining 50% balance is due in full upon completion of the vehicle or project and before the vehicle or item is collected or removed from our premises.
Any additional work, materials or services authorised by the customer during the project will be added to the final balance.
All deposits, cancellations and payments remain subject to the customer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
Customers should provide as much notice as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a booking.
Late cancellations or failure to attend a confirmed booking may result in loss of some or all of the deposit where Kameleon Kustoms has incurred reasonable costs or losses as a result of the booking.
Custom-ordered vinyl, PPF, printed graphics or other materials that have already been purchased or produced specifically for the customer’s job may also be charged where permitted by law.
Kameleon Kustoms reserves the right to reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances, staff availability, material delays, equipment issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Any cancellation or rescheduling charges are subject to applicable consumer law.
5. VEHICLE CONDITION
Customers must disclose any known issues that may affect installation, including:
- Previous accident repairs
- Repainted panels
- Fresh paint
- Failing or peeling clear coat
- Rust or corrosion
- Body filler
- Stone chips
- Scratches
- Cracks or damaged plastics
- Existing wraps, PPF or coatings
- Ceramic coatings or other surface treatments
Vinyl and PPF require a sound, properly prepared surface for successful installation.
Kameleon Kustoms reserves the right to refuse installation on surfaces we reasonably believe are unsuitable.
6. PAINTWORK & PREVIOUS REPAIRS
Vinyl wrap and PPF are primarily designed for application to sound, factory-quality paintwork.
Aftermarket, repaired, resprayed, poorly prepared, damaged, aged or deteriorated paint may have weaker adhesion to the underlying surface.
Application or removal of vinyl or PPF may expose or contribute to lifting of already compromised paint, clear coat, filler or previous repairs.
Kameleon Kustoms is not responsible for pre-existing defects or failures in paintwork, clear coat, body repairs or other surfaces where the damage was not caused by a failure by Kameleon Kustoms to exercise due care and skill.
We may recommend against wrapping certain panels if we believe the surface is unsuitable.
7. NEWLY PAINTED VEHICLES OR PANELS
Customers must advise Kameleon Kustoms if a vehicle or component has recently been painted.
Fresh paint must be fully cured before vinyl or PPF installation. Required curing times vary depending on the paint system and repairer’s specifications.
Kameleon Kustoms may postpone or refuse installation where we reasonably believe the paint has not sufficiently cured.
8. VEHICLE PREPARATION & CLEANING
Vehicles must arrive reasonably clean and free from excessive dirt, mud, grease, wax and other contamination.
Customers should remove personal belongings that may interfere with the work.
Kameleon Kustoms performs appropriate preparation before installation; however, heavily contaminated vehicles or surfaces requiring excessive preparation may incur an additional cleaning or preparation charge.
Customers should avoid applying waxes, polishes, tyre shine, silicone products or other surface treatments immediately before their booking.
9. VINYL WRAPS
A vinyl wrap is an aftermarket film applied by hand and is not the same as factory paint.
Minor joins, seams, overlaps, relief cuts and other finishing techniques may be required depending on the shape and complexity of the vehicle.
Deep recesses, textured surfaces, difficult edges or complex components may require alternative installation techniques to achieve a durable result.
Colour and finish can appear different under varying lighting conditions and may vary slightly between production batches.
These characteristics do not necessarily constitute defective workmanship.
10. PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF)
PPF is designed to provide an additional layer of protection against certain environmental and road-related damage. PPF does not make a vehicle damage-proof.
PPF cannot guarantee protection against all stone chips, scratches, impacts, accidents, staining or environmental damage.
Depending on the vehicle, installation method and film pattern, some edges, joins or seams may be visible.
Small amounts of moisture or installation solution may temporarily remain beneath freshly installed PPF and generally dissipate during the curing process.
Customers must follow all aftercare instructions provided by Kameleon Kustoms.
11. COLOURED PPF
Coloured PPF combines colour-change characteristics with protective-film properties.
As with traditional PPF, installation may require seams, joins, relief areas or exposed edges depending on the vehicle and film.
Colour appearance may vary depending on lighting, panel shape and production batch.
12. WINDOW TINTING
Window tint installations are performed using professional installation techniques.
During the initial curing period, temporary haze, moisture pockets or a slightly cloudy appearance may occur. This will generally reduce as the film cures.
Customers must follow the aftercare instructions supplied following installation, including avoiding operation of affected windows for the recommended period.
Tint supplied and installed for road use is subject to applicable Queensland vehicle requirements.
13. CHROME DELETES & BLACKOUT PACKAGES
Chrome deletes and blackout packages involve applying vinyl to suitable trims, badges or exterior components.
Due to the shape, material and condition of some trims, joins, seams, relief cuts or exposed edges may be necessary.
Some textured, rubberised, damaged or deteriorated surfaces may not be suitable for wrapping.
14. PRINTED WRAPS, GRAPHICS & ARTWORK APPROVAL
For custom-designed or printed work, the customer is responsible for reviewing and approving final artwork before production.
Approval Confirms Acceptance Of
- Design and layout
- Colours
- Logos and images
- Spelling
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Website addresses
- Business information
- Placement and general sizing
Once artwork has been approved and sent to production, changes may incur additional design, printing, material and installation costs.
Colours displayed on phones, tablets and computer screens may differ from the final printed product. Exact screen-to-print colour matching cannot always be guaranteed.
15. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED ARTWORK
The customer warrants that they have permission or appropriate rights to use any logos, photographs, artwork, trademarks, designs or other material they supply to Kameleon Kustoms.
The customer is responsible for claims arising from materials they provide where they do not hold the necessary rights or permissions.
16. CERAMIC COATING
Where included in the quoted service, completed wraps and/or PPF may be ceramic coated using Gtechniq HALO Flexible Film Coating or another product agreed with the customer.
Ceramic coatings assist with surface protection and maintenance but do not make the wrap or PPF immune to scratches, stone chips, staining, chemical damage, incorrect washing or environmental contamination.
Correct maintenance and aftercare remain essential.
17. REMOVAL OF EXISTING VINYL, PPF, TINT OR DECALS
Removal of existing films may reveal pre-existing damage, fading, paint differences, adhesive residue, clear-coat failure or previous repairs.
The condition of the underlying surface cannot always be determined until the existing material is removed.
Additional labour or products required to remove excessive adhesive, deteriorated film or difficult materials may incur additional charges.
Kameleon Kustoms will exercise due care during removal but cannot guarantee the condition of previously repaired, resprayed or otherwise compromised surfaces.
18. BADGES, TRIMS & COMPONENT REMOVAL
Where reasonably necessary for installation, badges, trims, lights, handles or other components may need to be removed or loosened.
Some clips, fasteners, adhesives and mounting components can deteriorate with age and may require replacement.
Kameleon Kustoms will take reasonable care when removing and reinstalling components. Any known pre-existing damage should be disclosed before work begins.
19. COMPLETION TIMES
Any completion date or timeframe provided is an estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Factors That May Affect Completion
- Vehicle condition
- Additional preparation
- Design changes
- Material availability
- Supplier or freight delays
- Printing requirements
- Unexpected installation complexity
- Equipment issues
- Unforeseen circumstances
We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant changes to expected completion times.
20. FINAL PAYMENT & VEHICLE RELEASE
The remaining 50% balance of the total quoted price is due immediately upon completion of the vehicle or project, together with any approved additional charges incurred during the work.
No vehicle, vehicle keys, parts, products or other items will be released or permitted to leave Kameleon Kustoms until the account has been paid in full and cleared funds have been received, subject to applicable law.
Customers must ensure payment arrangements are organised prior to collection.
Where payment is made electronically, Kameleon Kustoms may require confirmation that the funds have cleared before releasing the vehicle or item.
Any additional work, materials or services requested and approved during the project must also be paid in full before collection.
Where legally permitted, applicable card processing surcharges will be disclosed before payment.
By paying the 50% deposit, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted the quotation and these Terms & Conditions.
21. COLLECTION & STORAGE
Customers must arrange collection within the agreed timeframe once notified that their vehicle or project is complete.
If a vehicle or item remains uncollected for an unreasonable period after completion, reasonable storage fees may apply where the customer has been informed of those fees.
Kameleon Kustoms will take reasonable care of vehicles and property while they are in our possession.
Customers should remove valuables and unnecessary personal belongings before leaving a vehicle with us.
22. WARRANTIES
Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain vinyl, PPF, tinting and coating products and are subject to the individual manufacturer’s terms, conditions, exclusions and maintenance requirements.
Any workmanship warranty provided by Kameleon Kustoms applies to faults caused by our installation workmanship.
Warranty Exclusions
To the extent permitted by law, a workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by circumstances outside our control, including:
- Accidents or impacts
- Stone chips or road debris
- Pressure washing too close to film edges
- Automatic or abrasive car washes
- Harsh chemicals or solvents
- Incorrect cleaning techniques
- Scraping or picking at edges
- Misuse or neglect
- Environmental contamination
- Damage from modifications or repairs by third parties
- Pre-existing paint or surface failure
Nothing in this section limits any guarantee or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
23. AFTERCARE
Customers must follow any aftercare and maintenance instructions supplied by Kameleon Kustoms.
Freshly installed vinyl, PPF, tint and coatings may require a curing period.
Customers should contact Kameleon Kustoms promptly if they notice lifting, bubbling, edge issues or another concern rather than attempting repairs themselves.
Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect warranty coverage to the extent that the failure caused or contributed to the problem.
24. THIRD-PARTY REPAIRS OR ALTERATIONS
If another installer, repairer, detailer or third party removes, modifies, cuts, repairs or otherwise interferes with work performed by Kameleon Kustoms, this may affect any applicable workmanship warranty to the extent that the third-party work caused or contributed to the issue.
25. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING
Kameleon Kustoms may photograph or record completed work for use in our portfolio, website, social media and promotional material.
We will take reasonable steps not to unnecessarily publish personal information.
Customers who do not want their vehicle or project used for marketing purposes should advise Kameleon Kustoms before or during the booking.
26. PERSONAL PROPERTY
Customers are responsible for removing valuable or sensitive personal items from vehicles before leaving them with Kameleon Kustoms.
Kameleon Kustoms is not responsible for loss of personal property unless the loss results from our failure to exercise reasonable care.
27. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kameleon Kustoms is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.
28. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law where the ACL applies.
These Terms & Conditions are intended to operate alongside those statutory rights and must not be interpreted as excluding or limiting rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
29. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Kameleon Kustoms may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to a particular booking will generally be those provided or available when the customer accepts the quotation or confirms the booking, subject to any later variation agreed between the parties.
30. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable Queensland and Australian law.
